The location
Mocoa, Putumayo
Mocoa, nestled at the gateway to the Colombian Amazon in Putumayo, is a land of waterfalls, rivers, and dense rainforest alive with birds and ancient songs. The region’s shamans—known as curanderos or médicos tradicionales—guard ancestral wisdom rooted in deep communion with nature and the healing power of sacred plants such as ayahuasca, san pedro, kambo, and bufo alvarius. Their rituals integrate Amazonian and Andean traditions, offering a bridge between the visible and invisible worlds. Rich biodiversity, spiritual heritage, and the harmony between people and forest make Mocoa a profound setting for transformation and self-discovery.
